Dyfed of the Welsh slays the Norman invader Duke Perier.

Dyfed leads the Welsh in defense of their lands against Norman invaders lead by Duke Perier.  The Welsh were played by David and the Normans by Troy.

 Duke Perier surveys his array of battle from the bridge.  The bulk of his army on one side of the river awaits his command.

 Welsh Bonnedig take position in the hedges and await the Norman advance.

 The Welsh Priodaur stand to defend the archers.

 Meanwhile Dyfed and his Teula await on the other side of the river.

The Norman forces advance, mounted Knights in the lead.  The Duke rides with another group of Knights on the far side of the river.

 Sergeants and levy archers advance slowly towards the Welsh.

 Welsh Teula taunt the Norman Knights, drawing them into battle as they charge ahead of their duke.

The Knights are slain to a man, while the Welsh have two Teula killed.

 Dyfed leads his Hearthguard towards the Duke, javelins in the ready.  Meanwhile the Norman archer unit attempts to support their lord with a volley of arrows.  The Welsh take the arrows on their shields and continue their pursuit of the Duke.

 The javelins fly as Dyfed urges his troops on, they hit their mark and Duke Perier falls to the onslaught.

The battle is won as the remaining Normans retreat to grieve the death of their Duke.

Cnut holds the field in victory, crushing Sven and his Viking raiders.

Cnut leads his Anglo-Danes to victory against Sven and his Vikings.  The Danes were played by Will and the Vikings by Luke.

 Cnut surveys the battlefield and reassures his Hearthguard.

 He leads his men against Viking Warriors.

Elsewhere Danish Warriors face dreadful Viking Berserkers.

Another group of Danish Warriors gets ready to charge their Viking foe.

The battle is joined.

Viking Warriors fight valiantly but to no avail.

The Danes drive them back and crush them.

 

Cnut holds the field and gains victory.

Dyfed ap Caerdydd defends his realm from Norman raids

  Dyfed ap Caerdydd inspects his Teula and reassures the mass of Bonnedig arrayed in the woods.

 Elsewhere Teula and Priodaur advance toward the Norman invaders.

 Dyfed sets the Bonnedig to hold his flank and marshals the Teulu forward.

 The Normans send Sergeants armed with crossbows to the front of their advance.

 The Duke leads his Knights toward the weak Welsh flank.

 The Knights charge through a hail of arrows from the Bonnedig and smash into them.

 They drive the levy back into the woods, yet take significant losses to the proud Bonnedig.

 With the momentum of their charge, the Knights wheel about to attack the Welsh Warlord.

Dyfed ap Caerdydd was momentarily overwhelmed by the onslaught, but a faithful Teulu takes a blow meant for him and saves the Warlord's life.  With a fury born of desperation and rage, Dyfed drives off the Norman Knights.

 Meanwhile Welsh Teulu and Priodaur throw their javelins into the ranks of Norman Sargeants, killing many.

The Norman Duke spies Dyfed in the din of battle and the two Warlords engage in a fearful exchange of blows.  Another loyal Teulu steps into a blow meant for his King and prevents the Normans from ending his reign.  The two Warlords stagger back from the fray and the remaining Teulu rush forward to pierce the Norman Duke with well aimed javelins.  The Normans retreated at the death of their
Duke and Dyfed ap Caerdydd remained victorious on the field of battle.

Cnut son of Cnut did meet Judy d'Arc and fell to her blade

 The forces of Cnut son of Cnut meet the Norman Lady Judy d'Arc near a small farmsted.

 Norman peasants with bow advance upon the Danish levy and rain arrows into the tree cover.

 Norman Knights and Sergeants advance toward the treeline.

  Cnut remains in the shelter of a stone outcropping with his best warriors.

 Neither side dares advance for fear of giving the enemy an advantage.

 Elsewhere Danish Levy trade shots with Norman peasants with bow and Norman Sergeants with crossbow.  Soon mounted Sergeants advance upon the Danes.

 The Danish Levy defeat the horsemen, but with draw under the combined advance of the Normans.

 Judy d'Arc concentrates her advance on Cnut's position.

 Danish warriors come under fire from Norman crossbowmen and archers.  They attack and drive the Norman peasants back, but fail to rout the crossbowmen.

 The remaining warriors are left fatigued and unprotected and soon fall as the missile barrage resumes.

 Norman Knights rush through the forest and clash with Danish Hearthguard in a fierce fray that leaves them all dead amongst the trees..

 Judy d'Arc leads her remaining mounted Sergeants against Cnut and his Hearthguard.

The Danes fall to the Norman charge leaving Cnut alone to face the Norman Lady.  He hefts his Dane axe but is brought down by a powerful blow. 

Rage of the Jomsvikings

 The host from Jomsborg gathers to face an upstart Norman Duke. The Warlord works up his men into a frenzy to prepare for battle.

 They meet on the field near the great lodge.  Knights hold their mounts in check awaiting the horn that sounds the charge.

 Warriors rush out to meet the onrushing Knights with flurry of steel and blood.

 The Knights fair well, but fate turns against them as the Jomsvikings fury is unleashed.

 The Warlord orders an advance upon the Norman position.

 Veteran soldiers crash into the ranks of crossbowmen and spearmen, rending havoc.

 The Mounted Knights move to intervene.

The Warlord himself slams into the horsemen and brings down the Duke with a well placed blow.  The Normans flee in disarray and leave the field of dead to the victorious Jomsvikings.
